Erin is a trained Language Arts Teacher with a passion for theatre.
She currently serves as the Associate Artistic Director of RingPlay Productions, the parent company of Shakespeare in Paradise theatre festival.
She is a resident volunteer of The Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts and has served as the production director for many national productions.
Her first involvement in Shakespeare in Paradise was as an assistant director in 2010's Horn of Plenty, a performance of Shakespeare's sonnets produced by the College of The Bahamas. As an Assistant she also worked on the following: Merchant 2012, The Shrew 2013, Macbeth 2016, and Othello 2017. Knowles has also served as the Assistant Director, Production manager, and an actor on the first Bahamian Soap Opera Gippie’s Kingdom 2012 - 2015. She has appeared onstage in Dis We Tings 2011 and, most notably, as the Lady in Orange in SiP 2014 for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf. Although skilled in acting, her greatest contribution is behind the scenes. She believes the performing arts theatre is one of the greatest form of expression.

Her first solo directing debut was in 2014 with Patrice Francis’s A Longing Fulfilled. Since then, she has served as director of Murder & Poetry 2015, Death on The Street 2016, Clifton Rising, Being Bahamian: The Current @ Bahamar, Tradewinds: Royal Bahamas Defence Force, and the 44th Independence Celebrations Cultural Show all in 2017. She dramaturged and directed Much Ado About Nothing 2018, The Odd Couple: The Female Version 2019 and virtual productions in 2020. She also directed Ringplay Productions Competent Authority in 2021 and the 49th Independence Cultural Extravaganza 2022. For Shakespeare in Paradise 2022, she created an experimental piece titled Creating Richard III. Erin served as the Executive Producer of A Year of Bahamian Theatre, and she directed the seventh production in April 2023, The Children's Teeth. The acclaimed Jubliee Day: Road to Majority Rule production May 2023, was also directed by Erin. In 2024, she focused on the history making production of Junkanoo in Paradise that ran for 69 performances at the Atlantis theatre. She also provided valuable contributions to season 15 and 16 of Shakespeare in Paradise's festival. For the 2025 Repertory season, Erin directed the well-loved production of Arsenic & Old Lace. She was then appointed as the Project Manager for the Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts in partnership with UNESCO - Professionalizing Theatre in The Bahamas project. This project is ongoing. For the 17th season of Shakespeare in Paradise, Erin served as Co-director alongside her mentor Philip. A. Burrows to bring to life James Baldwin's classic The Amen Corner. Currently, she is in rehearsal for a special winter production of Richard III.
